Commissions
I start almost every painting with a sketch. It not only helps me communicate where I’m going with the piece but it adds the texture and character to pull you in. They’re what I like to call “the roots” and are an important piece to telling a story.
Once the framework is down and approved, the real fun (+ longest part of the process) begins. Adding watercolor - layer by layer.
Every piece I make is an act of love. Typical turn arounds for custom work can fall anywhere in between 2 months - 6 months. It truly depends on the piece. I often like to sit with a painting midway, let it breathe and go back to it to fine tune. It’s a lengthy process but I promise the final piece is worth it.
