About Brittany

Brittany is a self-taught artist best known for her dynamic watercolors. Although formerly trained as an engineer, she has always enjoyed creative expression whether that be through painting, ice skating, photography, graphic design or singing. In 2020, inspired by the historical and political events unfolding around the US, Brittany returned to painting as both an outlet and a method of advocacy.

Brittany’s work can best be described as a visual diary; A delicate mélange of her journey as an artist,  her life as a young black woman living in the nations capital, her African- American heritage and the people and places she’s encountered or been inspired by along the way.

A proud Prince George’s County native, Brittany currently lives and works in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area.
